Standards for official statistics

Official statistics should be trustworthy, high quality and useful.

Producers should use clear methods, appropriate data, quality assurance, transparent limitations, planned release practices and honest revision and correction procedures.

Statistics should measure phenomena that actually exist in United Hampshire. The authority does not permit invented real-world population, economic or geographic claims simply because a UK statistical product has that form.

Administrative data should not be presented as an official statistic until the producer has defined the population, measure, method, quality controls and limitations.
